Aloysio Meirelles de Miranda Filho joined Ulhôa Canto in 1984 and became a partner in 1989. He graduated from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ in 1984.
His practice focuses on corporate and tax law, particularly mergers & acquisitions and corporate reorganizations in Brazil and abroad, including for the implementation of succession planning.
His work is acknowledged by Chambers & Partners – Global and Brazil, The Legal 500 and IFLR in Corporate M&A and Corporate Governance.
He has been a member the Rio de Janeiro (OAB/RJ) and São Paulo (OAB/SP) Chapters of the Brazilian Bar Association since 1985 and 1990, respectively; a member of Portugal Bar Association and of the Consell des Barreaux Européens since 2022. He has also been a member of the Associação Brasileira de Direito Financeiro – ABDF since 1984 and of International Fiscal Association – IFA since 1985. His native language is Portuguese and he is fluent in English.
