Isabel Lustosa joined Ulhôa Canto in 1997 and became a partner in 2005. She graduated from the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro – UERJ in 1992 and obtained a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) from Harvard Law School in 1996.
She was a foreign associate at Cleary Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York, United States, between 1996 and 1997.
Her practice focuses mainly on the power sector, and she has extensive experience in regulatory matters, administrative and judicial litigation, arbitration, biddings procedures, projects (including project finance) and mergers and acquisitions in the industry.
Chambers Global and Chambers Latin America have been ranking the team led by Isabel Lustosa in Band 1 in every year since these publications started ranking law firms with power sector practices. These renowned publications currently rate Isabel Lustosa as a Star Individual in the power sector category.
